► Early Intervention Autism Therapy

At New Way Day Services, our trained staff of Behavior Analysts provides individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention plans to treat children with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

We also treat ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and other behavioral conditions that may affect development and functioning.

We provide our services in the home, center, and community. Goals of early intervention are to improve behavior and the quality of life for children and families. Our services includes:

1:1 ABA Therapy

After evaluating the learner’s skills and creating a personalized intervention plan, intensive 1:1 therapy will take place. The length of therapy sessions will vary depending on the child needs. Parent training will contribute in the process of new skills.

Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)

A functional behavior assessment is a problem-solving process that targets a child’s problem behavior. The child will undergo an assessment made up of 1-3 sessions to evaluate behavior in different cases.

Neuropsychology Services

Neuropsychological assessments are used to make diagnoses and to provide recommendations for in the home, school and community. They can identify strengths and weaknesses in multiple areas. Evaluation will measure I.Q., attention, memory, and problem solving skills.

Social Skills

Social skills will help to connect with friends and engage in new experiences. It enhances the child experience in the community and to predict social cues. Strategies includes social stories, comic strip conversations, hidden curriculum, and social scripts.

Behavior Support Consultation/Parent Training

Parent(s) or caregivers will spend consultation time to speak on problem behaviors and to perform parent trainings. The child may be present in these sessions depending on their need. Caregivers will be trained by a Behavior Analyst and Behavior Assistant.
